You may know rakija by other names depending on what part of the world you come from, like grappa, moonshine, ouzo, or arak. Every culture has its own version. But this is ours.
If we’re being poetic, rakija tastes like distilled joy. All the things that make us happy, sealed in a bottle.
If we’re being literal, our rakija tastes like a slightly sweeter and smoother gin. Emphasis on the smoother.

Our 700ml bottles serve about 20 to 23 standard drinks, depending on your pour. We like our drink strong, just like Dedo.
Sure, Dedo taught us everything we know, but that doesn’t mean he’s the only one who can enjoy a glass.

No. Our rakija is made properly in a commercial distillery, crafted with care, and built to be smooth, refined, and seriously enjoyable.
It still has the character and strength people love about rakija, but it is a more polished, premium expression, and yes, it is award-winning too.
Rakija should be stored out of the sun and at room temperature. On a drinks cart, in your pantry, or on a bar, these spots all work perfectly. Or you can store it like Baba does in the cupboard above the stove.

Each rakija has its own personality.
- Classic Rakija is delicate, light and fresh
- Gold Rakija is richer, smoother and sweeter
- Pear Rakija is crisp, fruity and bright
- Plum Rakija is deeper, rounder and bolder
If you are new to rakija, Classic is a great place to start. If you want something richer and more decadent, Gold is a favourite.

Yep, you do. Dedo says so, and so does the law.
Due to health standards and the risk of product contamination, DNA Distillery does not offer refunds or exchanges for change of mind or returned products.
However, exceptions may be made where a product is:
- faulty, or
- damaged during shipping
If your product arrives faulty or is damaged in transit, a replacement or refund of the purchase price may be offered, subject to assessment.
If you believe your order is eligible, please contact us at hello@dnadistillery.com within 7 days of receiving your order and include your order number, a photo of the product, and a brief explanation of the issue.
Once we have reviewed the claim, our team will be in touch with the next steps.
